About Us

The FlameCats - Rikki Cameron and Melissa McKelvey - have been friends since childhood and began their partnership in flameworking and jewelry design in 1992.  Melissa “plays with fire” and Rikki incorporates the results into unique, one-of-a-kind wearable art.  Rikki is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Melissa has studied with such knowledgeable glass artists as Loren Stump, Amy Johnson and Alex Hamilton.  As well as glass beads, their pieces incorporate precious and semi-precious stone, found objects and gold or silver.
